Born in Portugal, based in Denmark, married to a Brazilian, of Moorish ancestry.
I am a multi-percussionist devoted to serving music through impactful grooves, textures, and stories. I am inspired by folk traditions and the ethnographic study of traditional and contemporary music from around the world. I have been exploring and performing world percussion for over a decade across various genres and performance styles. As a never-ending learner and researcher, I am unafraid to explore languages and instruments beyond my comfort zone. My musical studies are primarily self-driven, continuously expanded through travels, research, seminars and private lessons with inspiring artists.
